Hi all,
Slackware is migrating to OpenJRE and OpenJDK because of licence restrictions.
For all of you who also want to migrate please check the following link:

Alien Bob has done an excellent job.
His packages work on Porteus.

OpenJRE or OpenJDK
I was born with nothing and I still got most of it.
Re: OpenJRE or OpenJDK
Hello,
If AlienBob made a new package, this should be a question of days before to get new version of OpenJXX on porteus repository.
We just need to wait that Fanthom see this topic
Thanks!

Yes but this is only the JRE-module.x86_64 module available on PPM download.
Also the Rhino-package is not available in Porteus.

Re: OpenJRE or OpenJDK
You should post your module request on both topics dedicated to this.
For 32bit module : "Must have apps" - 32bit official repo requests
For 64bit module : "Must have apps" - 64bit official repo requests
Thanks

Re: OpenJRE or OpenJDK
For me it is no problem because i got the packages from the link in the topic start.
Because Porteus is based on Slackware i assumed that Porteus would follow this development.
So for me there was no need to do a module request.
