here are 2 from me:
1. How fast is Porteus Linux?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9nVji588G9k
this one shows that Porteus is able to boot into lxde in 10 seconds (was 15 on my laptop now it's 10 on the desktop

2. Porteus - ZEN (PClinuxOS) metamorphosis
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D4pqrZD3sy8
was tired of fighting with aufs issue so tried to swap porteus userland to PClinuxOS ZEN mini. after small tweaks it was possible ( btw: ZEN had 32bit userland while i was booting 64bit Porteus). by the time i have discovered that aufs bug does not exist in this "hybrid".
I was too lazy to create xzm module from pclinuxos userland (it would take forever in Vbox) so i tweaked linuxrc which used zen VDI as 'changes'. that's why Porteus ISO is 22MB only and it loads 000-kernel.xzm at boot, no other xzm modules.
(joke mode on) if we get bored with Slackware, we can always switch to Ubuntu

Enjoy.
