[EDIT] I made a change to the package to include an icon
and I made a change to the audio mixer so that kmixer can be used.
Now KDE version of Porteus can be used.
I've written a script to easily record overnite radio programs.
There are basically two methods to record . One method I call
'Countdown' and the other I call 'Timer'
1) 'Countdown" ----> Enter number of minutes you want to be counted before the
recording begins.
2)'Timer' ----> you enter the time that you want the recording to begin.
The length of recording is another entry box.
The path of storage folder must end with slash.
There are lots of warnings if you do not fill in the boxes correctly.
Looking at the log gives the user a good idea of what is happening.
Clicking on the VU meter gives a graphical representation of the sound
which can be useful. (A number of 50 to 60 is needed)
It has been localised to several languages. I will make a package for them.
If Retrovol isn't installed then alsamixer is used as audiomixer.

Re: Bacon Recorder -timed recordings
I've had to re-upload the Baconrecorder module again due
to lack of interest
It a very useful bit of software.

Re: Bacon Recorder -timed recordings
When I tested on the Trinity version of Porteus
I noticed that clicking on the meter didn't work properly.
Clicking on the mixer button did work.
It only took a small change to fix so I did this
and upgraded the version number to 2.9.1
.
