I looked at a lot of files.sh
They all opened and started running ...
Thats where I stopped as I know just about nothing about " what to do---where to look --- etc etc etc "
Please if you want me to check something, Yes, I do it with the greatest of pleasure, but.....give some details

Where? The ones I look at are in my /home/guest/ folder and they don't open and run with the default nemo settings.
As previously noted:
nemo > Edit > Preferences > Behavior > Executable Text Files setting.
Demonstrate what?

Really enjoying 1.9 XFCE, thanks! Minor suggestion about savefile creation window timeout:
I wonder if an informational window like "please wait" can pop up when finally starting to create a large savefile, just so a user doesn't think it has crashed with no feedback. Yes, one should be patient here, but still ...
Even on my system with usb 3 ports and usb 3 drives, when going to the max near 4gb of savefile creation (for fat32 stick at least), after making your choices, the window immediately drops out. Yes of course one can see it is still being created by running top and seeing dd doing it's thing.
Simply waiting fixes it, but a first-timer might not know up front and do a drastic exit. NOT a showstopper!
