porteux-v1.4-xfce-4.18-stable-x86_64
Firefox is working including autoupdate with all prev. setting/bookmark.
Brave browser will not run if changes-ro parameter is activated. How to fix that problem?
Thanks.

sorry to interrupt your question briefly, but how does it autoupdate? Don't you still call an updater script that downloads a new xzm? Otherwise it'd keep autoupdating itself inside /changes on top of old xzm:)

PorteuX 1.4 bug reports

I've tried to build the virtualbox module, but all I can get it to install. In previous versions it worked correctly

Virtualbox guest additions can be built fine.

A request: Would it be possible to include a search mechanism to (de-)activate modules in the GUI?

Oh, and fzf would be a nice addition ;)

Thanks :)

@Otto, I managed to replicate your issue. Gonna take a look. Thanks for reporting.

@M. Eerie, virtualbox installs just fine for me. Make sure you have updated both 05-devel and 06-cruppled_sources modules to PorteuX 1.4. If it still fails, could you try in Always Fresh?

What you mean by search mechanism to activate/deactivate modules?

It installs fine for me too. It's just that I can't build the virtualbox.xzm module as I could with previous versions.

What you mean by search mechanism
To include a search field that allows filtering (suppose someone has dozens of modules).

I will need a video of the whole process in Always Fresh running from the terminal.

Now the brave browser is working fine after changing the monitor. I have really no explanation why porteux v1.2 with brave browser worked ok using old monitor but not v1.3 and v1.4 if change-ro is activated. Very odd!
Anyway thank you.

This issue is related to multi-thread so it doesn't happen all the time. It's already fixed and will be in PorteuX 1.5.

Thanks a lot for reporting!

I haven't recorded a video because when booting in Always Fresh mode, I don't have the tools to do so, but I have captured the screen for what it's worth:

As I say, the virtualbox module is not finished building, you only get the '.run' executable in a /tmp folder.

However, with 'guest additions' there is no problem.

My apologies... I was mixing current devel with stable distro... :mega_shok:

It works fine. Sorry again.
