How automounting is implemented on porteus?
Also /mnt/sdXX is sane default mount point instead of /media/user/XXXXX... It is minimal and reliable.
I would like to use it on other Linux installations.
How does porteus automounts remvable drives to /mnt/sdb1 ?

Look at /etc/udev/rules.d/10-porteus-fstab-update.rules and /sbin/udev-fstab-update, hope it helps
