no ideas on that one.. does the destination have enough space? the script doesn't handle that scenario ... bit hard to know how big the module will be before making it. i mean, an estimate could be made: around 1/3 of the existing filesystem size for xz..

I had to make the Terminal full screen then I seen what it was doing. It made it 5gb in size but I forgot I have download some files. I will try again later. At lease it work great. Thanks

what was broken was: save session to an existing file (ie. a save.dat) as per your original post: Something New (Post by Ed_P #98430)
for testing, i suggest either making a fresh save.dat or a copy of one for the purpose of testing and use that as your target.

for save to module, it just uses a generic exclude: dev, sys, tmp, mnt, var
and for save to file/folder: dev, sys, tmp, mnt

In Nemesis the script look for gtkdialog-functions and psu Nemesis find them but in Porteus the script gtkdialog-functions is not in the script. I think that is the problem.

BTW Your error msg says it's a bash error. save-session is a python script. Did you replace the file in /usr/bin/? The save-session in my /usr/bin/ is a shortcut, the actual script is in /opt/porteus-scripts and I didn't replace either with ncmp's updated script. I saved it to my /home/guest/ folder, set it's Property/Permissions as executable and ran it from there.
