Not sure what you want me to do?
To execute these lines (as root):
# cd /usr/share/icons/hicolor/scalable/mimetypes
# ln -s /usr/share/icons/kora/mimetypes/scalable/application-x-xzm.svg application-x-xzm.svg
# cp application-x-xzm.svg application-vnd.squashfs.svg
# gtk-update-icon-cache /usr/share/icons/hicolor/
If you can't still see the .xzm modules icons, try to change icon theme and back to the previous one.

Here is what I did.
Code: Select all
[guest@porteus ~]$ su
Password:
[code][porteus guest]# cd /usr/share/icons/hicolor/scalable/mimetypes
[porteus mimetypes]# ln -s /usr/share/icons/kora/mimetypes/scalable/application-x-xzm.svg application-x-xzm.svg
[porteus mimetypes]# cp application-x-xzm.svg application-vnd.squashfs.svg
[porteus mimetypes]# gtk-update-icon-cache /usr/share/icons/hicolor/
gtk-update-icon-cache: Cache file created successfully.
[porteus mimetypes]#
Here is what happen.

I just like Slackware because I think it teach you about Linux to build packages where Ubuntu is like Windows you just install programs you want.

That looks like you have chosen the Korla icon theme.
I have tried to replicate your theme and icon settings and the icons look fine
after running the commands ncmprhnsbl indicated previously:

I think we should move the posts related to the icons topic to another thread to separate the topics. But for now I'm going to sleep I've been too many hours without doing it.

RE: icon for xzms
my bad, i forgot to include the file : /usr/share/mime/packages/freedesktop.org.xml which is modified to include the mime spec for xzms.
i've added this to the TREE and reuploaded the mbs.tar.gz ..
the above linking for added icon sets still stands.
and there's also the original porteus xzm icon (cdr.png) in various hicolor sizes (eg. /usr/share/icons/32x32/mimetypes/cdr.png) if you want to try linking to that

-D webkitgtk=false
That worked! I have been trying different possibilities (webkit, webkit2 webkit2-gtk...) but not that one.

I'm sharing with you a customization module for MATE. Most of its content is compatible with other desktops. It contains icons, fonts, themes, wallpapers and some useful scripts.
Some icons created by me
Code: Select all
$ sha256sum 004-matecustoms.xzm

And this is the companion module built from the method described in the first post of the thread:

Code: Select all
$ sha256sum 004-mate-20240206.xzm
