Hi,
We have a problem where our website will show a kind of address bar when we enable the virtual keyboard. Please see the attached screenshots.
We're running Porteus Kiosk 5.4.0 with Chrome and the following settings:
Code: Select all
browser=chrome
disable_input_devices=no
hide_mouse=yes
disable_navigation_bar=yes
disable_zoom_controls=yes
hardware_video_decode=yes
primary_keyboard_layout=dk
virtual_keyboard=yes
If we then load a website with an input box in focus, it shows a grey top bar, just barely visible. If we "pull it down" then it's some kind of address bar which the guest can use to navigate away from the website. if they do this, the address bar goes away and they can't get back. I'm unsure why this address bar is there and why it gets visible when enabling virtual keyboard. if we disable virtual keyboard the address bar goes away!
And a video showing the "slide in effect":

Hi Kare,
I'm not able to reproduce your problem. I have used google.com as a homepage.
1) Perhaps you use some Chrome policies which adds this URL bar when the navigation bar is disabled?
2) Or maybe you have changed virtual keyboard settings and enabled the 'URL button'?
Please check with stock 5.5.0 ISO and no persistence enabled.
Thank you.
Please add [Solved] to your thread title if the solution was found.
