KDE4.8.0 in Porteus v.1.2-rc1-i486 (Updated to KDE4.8.1)

Here is a place for your projects which are not officially supported by the Porteus Team. For example: your own kernel patched with extra features; desktops not included in the standard ISO like Gnome; base modules that are different than the standard ISO, etc...

KDE4.8.0 in Porteus v.1.2-rc1-i486 (Updated to KDE4.8.1)

This unofficial version of porteus can be downloaded from here:

It is an iso of just under 300 MB (297.2 MB), but full functional and fast!
I will upload the kdelibs module recompiled with Zeroconf (avahi) support, during this week.

Now that's looking tighter! Just over 300Mb is in the ballpark. Fine business wread. I'll check it out when i get a little time.

The new version of kdelibs-4.8.1-i486 compiled with Zeroconf awareness can be downloaded from here:

You can download it and substitute the original kdelibs-4.8.1-i486-alien.xzm in modules/kde4 and reboot.
After update, it is 298.3 MB.
