I have installed
Porteus-KDE-v5.0-x86_64.iso with Etcher in a usb, then booted it in
Graphics Mode . Every time I run porteus installer and try to install it with bootloader in ext4 partition/dev/sda5, there is a message shown in Konsole that
Code: Select all
Installation failed with error code'2'
Afterwords it does not boot and no bootloader was in installed. Only the files were copied by the Porteus Installer to /dev/sda5.

Hello Juhayer Al Wasif. Did you review the notes in the ISO's USB_INSTALLATION.txt file?

EFI
I use USB drives 32 GB, or smaller, and format the whole drive as FAT32, copy all the ISO folders and files to the drive then run the Porteus-installer for the system I am running.

No.
What OS are you running the install from? I seem to remember getting the code 2 error when I installed 5.0 to a new USB drive but when I reran it it worked. I think I was running it from a bash script I use to copy the files and etc in Porteus but when I simply clicked on the install app in a terminal window it worked. The install app was the one on the USB drive.

How are you trying to boot the USB drive, using grub2 or the machine's boot options? Do you have the machine's Secure Boot option disabled?
