Some are of the opinion that archlinux has a very efficient package manager. However, the advice is that it should not be used with slackware.

Frugalware is a distribution that states its ease of use for the user and that works with pacman as a package manager. It used to be based on slackware. Here is a link on frugal and to frugal live download:
