Subtitle Editor is a GTK+3 tool to edit subtitles for GNU/Linux/*BSD. This program also shows sound waves, which makes it easier to synchronise subtitles to voices.

Free Awale is a virtual implementation of the african board game Awale, which belongs to the family of Mancala: a two-player turn-based strategy board games played with small stones, beans, or seeds and rows of holes or pits in the earth, a board or other playing surface. The objective is usually to capture all or some set of the opponent's pieces.

Awale is an african game whose rules are quite simple. The board contains two lines of six holes. The holes contain the stones which are distributed counter-clock wise in subsequent holes. Full rules are available in the website [ https://www.nongnu.org/awale/#rules ] and in the software Free Awale.

I'm going to include a [+] hyperlink in the main post of this thread for every entry of the list of modules, at the very left of each line, for jumping to the reply in which I introduce that module. Because in each reply I include more info for the software itself and a screenshot of it working, in order to give more details and make it easier for the downloader to know more about the program/game before deciding to download it or not.

  1. Black Box: Find the hidden balls in the box by bouncing laser beams off them.
  2. Bridges (aka Hashiwokakero): Connect all the islands with a network of bridges.
  3. Cube: Pick up all the blue squares by rolling the cube over them.
  4. Dominosa: Tile the rectangle with a full set of dominoes.
  5. Fifteen (aka 15-Puzzle): Slide the tiles around to arrange them into order.
  6. Filling (aka Fillomino): Mark every square with the area of its containing region.
  7. Flip (aka All Lights/Lights Out): Flip groups of squares to light them all up at once.
  8. Flood: Turn the grid the same colour in as few flood fills as possible.
  9. Galaxies (aka Tentai Show): Divide the grid into rotationally symmetric regions each centred on a dot.
  10. Guess (aka Mastermind): Guess the hidden combination of colours.
  11. Inertia: Collect all the gems without running into any of the mines.

  22. Pattern (aka Nonograms): Fill in the pattern in the grid, given only the lengths of runs of black squares.
  23. Pearl (aka Masyu): Draw a single closed loop, given clues about corner and straight squares.
  24. Pegs (aka Peg Solitaire) Jump pegs over each other to remove all but one.
  25. Range (aka Kurodoko): Place black squares to limit the visible distance from each numbered cell.

  27. Same Game: Clear the grid by removing touching groups of the same colour squares.

xCHM is a viewer for Compiled HTML Help (CHM) files, which are commonly used as help manuals on Windows programs and games. It can show the contents tree if one is available, print the current page and do the usual history stunts.

Zim is a personal wiki and outliner with notes stored in a tree view, similar to directories on a disk. Each page can contain links to other pages, simple formatting and images. All data is stored in plain text files with wiki formatting. Various plugins provide additional functionality, like a task list manager, an equation editor, a tray icon, and support for version control.
