In addition to babam's suggestion you can go to the Porteus menu's Internet section and download a browser and from the Porteus menu's Administration section you can download Bundles. If you find a close mirror, http://porteus.org/porteus-mirrors.html, you can download .xzm modules from the /current/modules folder. Handy for things like printing.
