Here you can post about your various experiences with PC hardware. You can also post about hardware that is not compatible with the linux kernel or not recommended for use with Porteus.

I'm thinking about picking up a 14"...
Pinebook
(I'll probably get one next week)
Unfortunately... it only comes in white, so I'm thinking about having the shell laser cut w/ a design.
see...
http://www.cutlasercut.com/upload-your-files
I might go with this image of
Medusa (I will likely omit the eyes)...
I will probably render the image black foreground against a charcoal grey background.

It should arrive the 1st week of November.

The 14" is out of stock so I will have to live w/ 11.5".

Fine business David, and that all under a hundred dollars? Simply genial!
Where is a Porteus for arm? Did you locate one already? Which desktop?
Maybe it is not contaminated with Trojan horses, arm CPU s are clean..
Regards!
Porteus is proud of the FASTEST KDE ever made.....(take akonadi, nepomuk and soprano out and you will have a decent OS).
The Porteus Community never sleeps!

So true... I will be reaching out to this project to facilitate a Porteus version.
I purchased it to develop my cluster. See...
Casetronic "rack2tower" CLUSTER build...
I am posting from it now.... but I am unhappy using Ubuntu KDE/Plasma.
However... it is wonderful indeed to be free of the threat of Meltdown/Spectre.
