Porteus linux on the net or on the waves of the web

@Rava, it's hard to say the minimum to run the system, since it will depend of the use -- a browser, for instance, can take 1 GB of RAM pretty easily. Here are the measurements of the after-boot:

***Cinnamon x64***
RAM: 437 MB

***KDE x64***
RAM: 410 MB

***LXDE x64***
RAM: 209 MB

***LXQt x64***
RAM: 253 MB

***MATE x64***
RAM: 302 MB

***Openbox x64***
RAM: 146 MB

***Xfce x64***
RAM: 253 MB

How much does Pek use? My guess it's 66% less than Openbox.
:hmmm: I do NOT have the "right" to tell anyone what they should do...
but I reserve the "right" to tell them what they should "consider".

I doubt it. Part of this memory consumption is Porteus itself (regardless of the DE). So less than, I guess, 120 MB is not possible even booting into text mode with no DE module loaded.

Then I assume w/ PekWM it is something close to 128mb

So, in from - to (or minimum RAM - maximum RAM) we have, for x86-64:

RAM: 146 MB (Openbox x64) - 437 MB (Cinnamon x64)

Do you also have the numbers for i586 versions?
Cheers!
Yours Rava

Sorry, no.
does Jay have these?

Update
He wrote me an PM telling me to use Virtual Box. So seems he not has the sizes.
I presume just checking openbox i586 should give us the smallest MB size. :)
Cheers!
