Here's one for ya : I copied MATE 3.2.2 to a flash drive, ran it with my Windows 7 laptop, everything ran as expected, booted out of porteous, back into Windows 7. 7 then informs me my C drive is corrupted and strongly advises I run a chkdsc. operation. When done, the screen displays all kinds of deletions and repairs it made. Fortunately, 7 ran well after that. But makes me apprehensive about running Porteus again. What do y'all think?

I've run Porteus with Windows 7 and Windows 10 for yrs with no problem. Not Mate and I don't know if that makes a difference. My porteussave.dat file is on the hard drive and gets updated everytime I shutdown and I save files to the hard drive from Porteus with no problems. Not sure what could have happened to your system.
