When I open Firefox it use to put a Icon in the top panel but yesterday it stop doing it. What do I need to do get them back? Did something get turn off or what cause it to happen? Right now I'm running Porteus64 Mate v5.1
I just like Slackware because I think it teach you about Linux to build packages where Ubuntu is like Windows you just install programs you want.

Those icons and everything is there it just when I open something up it don't get added to the panel. There are times I might be running 5 programs then they just stack up then if I need one I have to start closing them tell see the one I want. That a pain that a real pain when I copy from one to another one.

looks like for whatever reason the window list panel plugin has crashed or something.
try: rightclick on the panel in the blank area; choose "add to panel"; scroll down to "window list"; click to highlight it; click the "add" button .
