Do you want a usb installation or a hard disk drive installation?

Download Porteus-4.0-LXDE-i586 from,
http://ftp.nluug.nl/os/Linux/distr/port ... 0-i586.iso
If you have a Windows machine, unpack to an USB disk formatted in FAT32. You will have boot and porteus folders. say in (D; or x:)
Open boot folder in that USB disk, and run " Porteus-installer-for-Windows.exe". You will have message in terminal to confirm ID of disk(D: 0r X:0) for installation of boot loader in that disk.
Confirm and a second after, the USB disk is ready for booting to Porteus LXDE, in BIOS mode.
Restart the computer, enter BIOS (F1 or DEL) and select USB as boot medium. (DVD drive...USB Disk.. Hard Disk in that order).
Save BIOS and exit.
In 15 seconds you will be presented with your favourite LXDE desktop with all minimum required applications for a satisfactory experience.
