Dear Porteus masters,
I am trying to put the OpenBox version of Porteus (5.0rc2) on some old laptop that will go to a child that hasn't got any computer yet.
With the help of the forums and premade bundles, Porteus is flying on this machine compared to anything else (useful) that I tried, so thank you all for creating this wonderful piece of work.
A minor annoyance I'm trying get rid of is this notification, that has to be clicked away on each reboot:
Openbox build: 20200806
Changelog: /var/log/openbox/changelog
I've tried to look in /etc/xdg/openbox and in ~/.config/openbox but can't find anything in there that may give me any clue.
Could you share a way to get rid of this?
Oh, and thank you for making the migration to ZSTD so much easier than before!

OpenBox in 5.0 - disable the Build/Changelog notification?
/opt/porteus-scripts/extra/openbox-autostart : comment # (or remove) the lines:
Code: Select all
# Notification of the changes and build date during development stage
notify-send -t 0 -i cdr "Openbox Build: $(cat /etc/porteus/003-openbox.ver | cut -f 2 -d :)
Changelog: /var/log/openbox-changelog"

OpenBox in 5.0 - disable the Build/Changelog notification?
Thank you. It worked.
I completely understand why it is there during the development and I know I'm rushing it
