Hi, Porteus is very nice work since got my old notebook up and running.

https://globoplay.globo.com/v/6557154

Why can't I play videos on this domain?
Porteus Openbox 4.0 i586
firefox-63.0.3-i686-1.xzm
flash_player_npapi_linux.i386.tar.gz (32.0.0.453 from https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ ) placed /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/libflashplayer.so
I am in Brazil whether gelocation is a complain.

hi, welcome to the forum :) (oops, you've been here a while :P)
i seem to be able to play it without any flashplugin..
maybe try using the latest firefox..

Code: Select all

su
<password> toor or whatever you have set
update-firefox
and don't choose to download the server version..

Another option to consider pican: Porteus Menu > Internet > Browser Selection and Update Tool > Flashplayer

Thanks a lot. Updating firefox (esr) delivered the expected result. Porteus is a keeper.

 ..marked as solved..
mostly, video streaming is handled by the openh264 plugin (and/or the widevine plugin for drm stuff) which ship with firefox nowdays(or is downloaded and installed on demand)
and flash is mostly phased out for video..
