Porteus

New to Porteus, not totally to linux. Like many cannot initialize my BDM4313 wifi card. It is recognized in 'Porteus system info' as present as well as with

root@porteus:~# lspci | grep -i broadcomm
02:00.0 Network controller: Broadcomm Corporation BCM4313 802.11bgn Wireless Network Adapter (rev 01)

root@porteus:~# dmesg | grep -i b43

shows nothing, so assume no functional driver and tried everything at:
viewtopic.php?f=81&t=8021&p=66911&hilit=broadcom#p66911
with no success.

before trying some older threads that recommend swapping in a kernel module from version 3.2.2, I'd be grateful if anyone knows if a less drastic approach that would work.
