cannot connect to logitech bluetooth mouse

Post#1 by user0815 » 22 Jan 2019, 12:58

Dear All,
Problem of a newbie:
I managed to have the firefox browser, establish connections via both wifi and wired and save my changes so far. The only thing still open is to get my mx anywhere 2 mouse being paired and working. Activation of bluetooth via porteus settings works, also the pairing seems to work, at least it says "device successfully added", but the mouse does not work at all. Several attempts to completely reset the bluetooth mouse do not help. My intention is to connect the mouse directly via bluetooth, not via the logitech usb-receiver (lost it :(). This works on several others ubuntu distros such as xubuntu and lubuntu. Can anyone help?
Thanks in advance and regards

You give very helpful info when you run "Porteus system Info", create a full report via "dump full report", upload the report to pastebin and post the link here.
Cheers!

btw, when connected via logitech usb-receiver, the mouse is of course working, however, I am getting system message that mouse battery is low (0%) whereas I know that the mouse battery is definitely not low as just fully charged.

secondly, the feature upload full dump report to pastebin doesn’t work properly. It tells me to check the pastebinlink.txt which is always empty.

Then use it like so. BTW, I can see your uploaded pastebin info just fine. But sadly I am not that good with debugging hardware issues, I don't find a clue as of why it won't work. Maybe others can, e.g. donald is good that that.
Cheers!

@donald
Do you have any advice for me? I already tried this

Code: Select all

hciconfig hci0 sspmode 1
hciconfig hci0 down
hciconfig hci0 up
but it does not help.
