Woah, it's running on a eeePC 701 series!

Hey, I tried Porteus today and am really impressed. I managed to get Cinnamon running on one a eeePC 701 series from a USB!

To my surprise, most things were supported out of the box. However, trying to install on the device's internal SSD got me the boot error

file '/boot/grub/i386-pc/normal.mod' not found.
Entering rescue mode...
grub rescue>

But it's no biggie. I probably won't be using that device for anything anymore.

I also got the Cinnamon 64bit USB version working on an Acer Aspire V-123. Everything looks good so far.

I must say, Porteus is a really nice little distro.

Welcome to the forum n2fole00.

The install error you got would indicate that you used an app to install Porteus. Try installing it using the Porteus USB_INSTALLATION.txt instructions.
