USM databases update issue

My internet connection is fine but most of the time, updating USM databases would end up with a hang, and once you closed the shell, the next USM opens will notify us You are missing required database files! and the bad cycle keeps on continue.

Could we have offline USM database update method? like download a xzm model from Porteus mirror.

Most of USM's databases are distributed across many mirrors and the access to some is better than others. You can see who uses what by reviewing the mirror files in /etc/usm/.

The easiest solution is to copy the sesm.sh script shown here:

[INFO & SCRIPT] Slackware Mirror Settings for USM

Save it and run it as root.

BTW Which version of Porteus are you using? I think there was another fix for 3.1 that helped.
