Package Manager in Text Mode

Hello,

I have migrated from Slax to Porteus, because I hoped that I get here more support for my specified questions and perhaps newer kernel and so one.
I have read the doc, FAQ and searched in the forum, but I can't find anything about the package manager in the text mode.

Is there any possibility to use it?

The Porteus Package Manager needs to be run from X Session.

If you wish to install packages in text mode, you can use slackyd.

Read the output of "slackyd -h"

Thanks, the help page of slackyd had enough information for me.
I had to set the proxy before and than it works fine.
