hey guys i installed porteus on my hdd and its morking awesome thx for the adminstrator and the devploers but when i tried to install a module from the comman
it asked me to update the databases which is normal and i did it many times so i typed
and it started updating the databases but unforstaly stoped in

Starting salix database update
Downloading: CHECKSUMS.md5 -->
i just kept it about the 1 hour and still on downloading it my internet connection is so fast and i did it so fast the last time i was booting in live mode i am so sad plz help me guys

Try a different mirror for salix. Some have been having problems of late.

If you want to do it with a script, you can use the scripts here:

Once you get to build some module, don't forget to transfer it from /tmp/usm to /porteus/modules so that it is effective at next reboot.

had the same trouble myself today, I used the USM gui and installed each individually having to install one, exit usm, re-start usm for each repository. tedious, but worked

If you can handle a script you can use the script I use here
