I downloaded it but it looks like I will have to build a x86_64 version. It didn't run or work. I will get back if it works.

There is really nothing to fix here. It is working ok. It is just saying that you wont get a nice bell sound when your video is finished and thumbnails wont work. If you want it to start from the menu then just copy another file from /usr/share/applications and call it pitivi.desktop and change the Exec= line to start pitivi.

Is there away add it to the *.xzm so if I put it in my download bundle area it would work for anyone that download it. So it works without doing anything?

From:
http://forum.porteus.org/viewtopic.php? ... 252#p30640

Code: Select all

guest@porteus:~$ ls -lh pitivi-0.15.2-porteus3.1-i486-alldesktops.xzm
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 26M Jan 11 2015 pitivi-0.15.2-porteus3.1-i486-alldesktops.xzm
guest@porteus:~$ ver pitivi
0.15.2-1

Now via USM:
guest@porteus:~$ ls -lh pitivi-0.95-i486-2_slonly.xzm
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 274M Oct 9 16:33 pitivi-0.95-i486-2_slonly.xzm
guest@porteus:~$ ver pitivi
0.95-2
Amazing how version jump increases size tenfold.

Probably need viewtopic.php?f=48&t=3752#p31883 (ffmpeg plugin) to play video.

Anyway this 0.95 version responds in extremely slow motion on my machine. Best part of five minutes for GUI to come up, with some responses taking best part of a minute. In contrast, the 0.15 version is spritely and so one is always able to tell what stage one is at, which is not the case with 0.95 version.

What I'm thinking about doing is taking Mate 3.1 and USM is base on 14.1 Slackware. I will take USM and search for pitivi and build a x86_64 version of pitivi-0.15.2-i486-1 and try it. There is to big of file size from 0.15 to 0.95 for one thing I want to do if it is there.

Well I rebuilt using Mate 3.1 it is smaller but what I need is not there Fish-EYE removable. So at this point size wins for me.

I'm going to still look and maybe find a smaller program that will work for me.
