Disabling Bluetooth To extend battery time.

Greetings!

Various user sites say turning off Bluetooth extends battery time dramatically. I wish to do so with my R60e Thinkpad but the usual Function key-F5 Bluetooth on-off switch doesn't seem to work under Porteus 3.1. Is there a way?

Thanks!

There must be something for you about the laptop mode viewtopic.php?f=48&t=3640

I am not on porteus right now but look into modify some parameters in /etc/laptop-mode/conf.d/usb-autosuspend.conf or simply look if there is not some .conf for bluethoot in the/etc/laptop-mode/conf.d folder. :)

In fact for bluethoot, there is a proposition here https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Laptop_Mode_Tools, quote:
I have experienced issues with bluetooth not working if I boot up with battery, and I fixed it with disabling runtime-pm

If there is a file at /etc/rc.d/rc.bluetooth then make it non executable and it will not load during boot. Well, the service will not load. As for physically disabling the device, it may take a little more.
