how do I install RealTek wifi drivers without Sudo Apt-Get?

Greetings!

I wish to use a RealTek RTL8188ETV wifi dongle on my heirlomb R31 Thinkpad and believe I need the right drivers since it's not plug-and-play in Porteus like in Mint or Xubuntu. Only thing is I can't use their sudo apt-get install method to get the drivers, forget the chicken and the egg that I'd have to be on-line first with the dongle to make it go.

Any hints most appreciated!

Thanks for your inputs! rtl8188eu-master worked like a charm! Really, they should distill all that long confusing techie lingo into short simple instructions like extract to Desktop, command line type cd Desktop/rtl8188eu-master, type make, type sudo make install and be done with it!
