Download it. Right click on it for the contextual menu to unpack it into a folder. And finally, look in it. And report. 8)

Really!
Just try to download the package.

This is only a fake name for any package. It could have been called any-package.txz.

Starting alien database update
Downloading: vercheck.txt DONE
Downloading: CHECKSUMS.md5.gz -->
and sits right there. Did not do this on previous installs. Until this gets fixed ... I can't download that 'could be anything' thing.

1.0 It happens that there are some occasional and temporary problems with the repos on which usm is based to pick up the packages. This is out of the control of porteus. It seems here that the alien repo is not responding. Update individual repo one by one except alien:
You will still have enough to work with.

It does not exist. Nada. Il n'y a pas de paquet...

OK .... got THOSE updated. alien still fails. thank you. I will try alien later.You will still have enough to work with.
The 'test' package says it is in slackware repo .. but it will not download. I suppose that is good, 'cause I still would not know what to do with it.
EDIT:
Oh .... yes I do know .. if it ever will download:

Sorry that I mislead you. I wrote the first instruction before trying to try to download the goddam package.

John, it's a dummy name. There is no package/module with that name. Nothing to download.wacojohn wrote:That package ..... still sittin' there. Will not download.
Admins, two options at this point, imho, 1. create a module to download with that name, 2. change the entry on the GUI. Maybe something like "xzm module name(s) will appear here" or "Nothing searched for yet".

Sorry for my density. I would just like to see it gone from the list ... if it doesn't do anything. I will do that ..... after I learn to 'create a module'. Thank you .. immensely.Ed_P wrote:John, it's a dummy name. There is no package/module with that name. Nothing to download.wacojohn wrote:That package ..... still sittin' there. Will not download.
