^ What I was afraid of. If on tablet fine.
Do from 3. Reboot Procedure onwards.
Require
- Get tree with USM, and stick it in modules folder.
- Paste into text editor (mousepad) statements of code blocks in 6 and directions given in 6.
- Save this in a file in /mnt/sda1/disk
- Reboot Procedure
- Edit porteus.cfg, appending changes=/porteus, ending up with append line: APPEND initrd=initrd.xz fsck timezone=US/Central utc changes=/porteus
- Reboot
- Do not start firefox. If FF running quit it.
- Using mousepad retrieve instructions saved in /mnt/sda1/disk
- Do
Code: Select all
pkill firefox; ps -e | grep firefox
- If firefox shows up
Code: Select all
pkill -9 firefox; ps -e | grep firefox
There should not be any firefox left. If there is, try repeating last statement. Code: Select all
cat /proc/cmdline
cat /var/log/porteus-livedbg
cd /home/guest
du -sh .mozilla
[[ -d .mozilla ]] && rm -r .mozilla
ls .mozilla
cp -a /mnt/sda1/disk/.mozilla /home/guest
du -sh .mozilla
tree -L 2 .mozilla
tree -d .mozilla
- Fire up FF and check for extensions etc.

No problem actually. I have a (windows) habit of downloading files to my DESKTOP ... so I had a few files ... not icons ON the desktop. Fine if they are lost .. but am wondering if they are on the hard drive somewhere .... and taking up some space that I don't know about.

wait a minute. Used instructions in FILE. DOESN'T match your code box. Communication breakdown. Not sure what to do now.
I retrieved instructions from FILE on computer with mouse pad. No FF open.

Just reboot and follow all instructions 1 to 5. If anything goes awry, just reboot and start all over again.
(This isn't Win$oze. Everything is robust 8) )
