Hi I am about 99% sure it will have no effect but just to be fully sure I am asking the following questions -

1) Can I rename the modules
eg: beachbit-1.8.i486_at.xzm to beachbit-1.8_cleaner.xzm

2) How many sub folders can you make does numbering also work in them
eg: 001-modules (folder1) -001-vlc-2.2.1_media player.xzm
-002-uget (folder2) -uget-4.2_downloaded.xzm
-aria2.xzm
-003-beachbit-1.8_cleaner.xzm
002-changes (folder1) -changes01.xzm
-changes02.xzm
003-Wine.xzm

3) Which all characters causes errors like for example spacebar and can you write the module names in capital

better not use spaces in file names
i think the name of the module does not have anything to do with its contents, so it can be anything

Try it and see. Check with lsblk.

I believe you can, with no problems.

I wouldn't recommend adding numbers to the modules or to subfolders. I see no benefit it would give you.

Spaces in a name can cause problems when deleting the file. Caps are fine.

Numbering modules could be a strategy when some modules conflicts between them. Sometimes, these same modules in a different order will not conflict. This is a trick worth of trying.

Personally if you like numbers, and if they help you organize your informations, just use them.

But watch for OCD.

Lol i don't have OCD will watch out for that I had read in one of the newbie thread don't remember which one that numbering them makes the modules start in that order that is why the base modules are numbered so as you can see I am thinking of making three folders in porteus one for software one for session change and one for wine thinking of removing the save.DAT function as it takes to much of useless space in cache so let's say that I want to load the chrome modules first in the 001-software folder then I would like to load the 001-changes which contains chrome extension and settings which is found in the 002-changes folder and so on the sub folders helps me keep a little organized such that when I don't need a program I can also delete their dependencies easily along with it

I never had to number my modules, except in one case and this was years ago in the pre-portues era. 8)
