Greetings!
I just converted both gnome-system-tools_2.30.2-2_i386 and gnome-system-tools_3.0.0-3ubuntu5.1_i386 into xzm modules to gain a Users & Groups entry in the Settings menu, but though their icons appear, the menu and apps haven't. Home school prefers the Users & Groups menus route than the CLI "make user" route.
And hints most appreciated!

Hi.
I just took a look at what you're trying to bring to Porteus.
http://pkgs.org/debian-sid/debian-main- ... 6.deb.html
Section "Requires" lists many packages on which gst depends. So first question, do you have them all installed?
After reading this http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions ... 175536384/ I got an impression that getting gnome to work with Porteus (which is Slackware based) isn't easy task. Although there is package for older version of Slackware http://slackware.org.uk/slacky/slackwar ... ls/2.22.1/
Are you trying to turn portable live distro into OS for workstations?

Re: Users & Groups Icon Appears But Not Menu
Truly, all I want is for a Users & Groups menu option in XFCE Porteus like Mint has for a CLI-shy crowd, nothing more complex than that. Thanks on the heads' up on how futile my conversions are!sunnysideofthesun wrote:Hi.
