Automount drives off? Nvidia settings save?

Hello, I recently found Porteus and its a very impressive distro your hardwork on this is really appreciated. I have one thing I would like to change, is it possible to stop automounting of windows drives? I boot from a ntfs formatted usb for security purposes and exposing my drives to the OS on boot is unwanted behavior. I did get the save.dat file working by modifying a config file so I should be ok with working with a command prompt or modifying a config file again.

Another weird problem is I can't seem to get the Nvidia X server setting to stick, even after saving with its save configuration button. Porteus loads OS setting from my save.dat file but not Nvidia settings.

Here is my build:

Select your system architecture: 32 bit
Select your system type: Use BIOS
Select your boot mode: GUI
Select your desktop: XFCE

UTC Support: Use Local Time

FSCK: Enable
RAMSIZE: Enable
ZRAM: Enable
CLIEXEC: Disable
GUIEXEC: Disable

Web browser: Firefox
Word Processor: None
VoIP Client: None
Development Tools: None

Video Card Driver: Nvidia
Printing support: No

I was thinking of switching file systems if it would fix theses issues, but I thought of asking first.

maybe the hard drives can be disabled in bios

That is what i'm trying to avoid, its a tedious process on my system, and I would need to do this on every computer I decide to securely use like for example going to a friends house or family members.

i dont take any special measures for "security", they say linux is "secure"

Yeah its reassuring how secure Linux is and Porteus is just amazing. Though I do find it odd that my drives are auto mounted. It seems the logical choice would be choosing to mount them after boot.

I'm up late and off to bed, nice chat.
