Firefox has stopped

Post#1 by frenchy » 11 Feb 2015, 17:04

A friend gave me a usb to boot V3.0.1 kernel 3.14.15 on an old HP Pavillion tower all went well and I located network and got online with Firefox now Firefox will not open. Can I use terminal to reload it? Or can I repair with a version update? I have limited experience with Lubuntu terminal commands, but imagine Porteus will be a little different

Bienvenue!

In command line try:

Code: Select all

root@porteus:~# firefox
It should work. You can report the output, so that we can look at it.

Do you have the standard or the kiosk version?

Currently we are in porteus 3.1 version for the standard edition.

Delete the old firefox module in /porteus/modules and download the same module here depending on your architecture:

Code: Select all

root@porteus:~# uname -m
32bit:
http://dl.porteus.org/i486/archive/Port ... 1/modules/
64bit:
http://dl.porteus.org/x86_64/archive/Po ... 1/modules/
