which is better, save to file, module, or folder?

i have a frugal install on a ext hard drive petition with several other frugal linux installs, disk space amount is not a concern as i have plenty, which option is best for fast performance and stability?

If you are using an ext partition then you can eliminate the save file option. That leaves you with a module or a folder for changes. They both have advantages and disadvantages. Overall I would choose the save folder option in this situation.

For safety, every now and then create a module from your save folder, put it in the modules folder on the hard drive.

that's what i ended up doing. i figured module is slightly better performance, loading compressed into ram at boot, but folder is way easier to manage? managing a folder is actually like a dream come true for frugal installations.
