Thanks. Looking into why the slackwarepatches didn't update. The file on the server is: mozilla-firefox-38.6.0esr-x86_64-1_slack14.1.txz

EDIT:
It seems the link for the slackwarepatches repository was denied. Updating now.

So, I retried the download and got this.

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B1Uj3O ... sp=sharing

I then updated USM, closed & reopened it and retried the download and got this.

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B1Uj3O ... sp=sharing

Your eyes are definitely better than mine but I don't see the 0esr in the slackwarepatches file name that you do.

FYI (For Your Information)

24 hrs later. (time for at least a couple of those "wait 6 hrs for the next database update" to have been run.)

Updated USM. All databases updated successfully.

Restarted USM.

Same error.

Something is wrong someplace.

No. That's why I said above "The file on the server is: mozilla-firefox-38.6.0esr-x86_64-1_slack14.1.txz" The file on the slackware server is what you see in USM. The file on our rsync'd server is mozilla-firefox-38.6.0esr-x86_64-1_slack14.1.txz. Therein lies the problem. Something changed and USM is not updating slackware patches. I am looking into the code now. If I'm not out in 2 days send in a rescue team.

EDIT:
Updated. Please test again. I tested on 32bit and it worked. Time for bed now.

Thank you for the clarification. :friends:

Yes, please. I've been told you need your beauty rest.

Thank you brokenman.

If you get time could you explain what happened and why?

Still no luck so far by the way, not that I'm in a rush...
usm -u slackware still halting (every time I've tried it so far) at LIBS.TXT.gz (I haven't changed any of the settings on USM, but I have done a complete fresh persistent reinstall on my USB).

I just updated USM by clicking on the icon and with no ERROR.
I just like Slackware because I think it teach you about Linux to build packages where Ubuntu is like Windows you just install programs you want.

There is a slight delay. I am notified when a repository changs and must go in manually and change some stuff in the scripts in order to update for now. I don't really want to address the problem until slackware 14.2 comes out and I can implement it and fix this problem at the same time.
