Using SeaMonkey to conduct search on ddg. Does ddg then know I'm using Porteus? If so, how?

hi Bogomips,

you have to use certain xml for this. please copy it from /usr/$lib/firefox/searchplugins/duckduckgo.xml (or similar) to your seamonkey folder and should be ok.

thanks for supporting us!

Code: Select all

root@porteus:/home/guest# cp /usr/lib/firefox/browser/searchplugins/duckduckgo.xml p4/seamonkey/searchplugins
Hope this will be ok now. Any way of verifying it's working?

when you search for somthing using this particular xml you will see 't=porteus' string in the address bar, like:

Code: Select all

https://duckduckgo.com/?q=best+live+cd&t=porteus
