I would like to install simple cards games (Freecell, Spider, Klondike, solitaire etc...) on Porteus 3.0 Xfce.

Any links or suggestions ?

TIA

Well, xpat2 was just an Idea which came in Mind after reading "Card Games".
If there is none for Porteus / Slackware, search for a Debian Package and
convert it to xzm.It may work.
(convert...activate...and start xpat2 in a Terminal to see if there are error messages)
good Luck

You can use kpat from kde. I tried to run it on x and it did ok :)

I downloaded the xgames-0.3-x86_64-4 file and saved it as a module. moved it to my /mnt/sda5/porteus/modules folder and rebooted but now I can't seemed to find a way to run any of the cards included in it. Do they not run on RazorQT?

@Ed_p

Try kpat from kde as I said. Download it from http://packages.slackware.com for your system (14.1 64-bits) and do a txz2xzm on it.

I looked wread but couldn't find an x86_64 version of it there. Only the i486 one.

Thanks wread. :) I downloaded the file and converted it to a .xzm module, activated it, and now see a Games entry in my Porteus menu. :good: However, clicking on the Games > Card Games > KPatience item doesn't do anything on my RazorQT system. :(

I put the .xzm module in my porteus/modules folder and rebooted and got the same results.

@E_dP:
Try starting it from a konsole typing kpat to see what is missing. I guess you don't have libkdegames, that I have. Such a case, download it from here: http://wread.porteus.org/public/KDE-32b ... 1alien.xzm

Good luck!

You are correect sir. :good:

Code: Select all

guest@porteus:~$ kpat
kpat: error while loading shared libraries: libkdegames.so.6: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
guest@porteus:~$
Such a case, download it from here: http://wread.porteus.org/public/KDE-32b ... 1alien.xzm

An interesting link to click on. But it appears to be a 32-bit mod and I'm running 64-bit. I checked USM for it but it was a no go.

E_dp, you are right! I forgot you are in 64 bits...Try and download it from here for 64 bits: http://mirrors.slackware.com/slackware/ ... 6_64-1.txz

You will have to convert it to xzm before firing it!

Let me know if it works!

Hi!
Seems that kpat will need the whole kde legion, Try the main library, if it won't work we will give up: http://mirrors.slackware.com/slackware/ ... 6_64-2.txz

Cheers!
