Youtube cutting off early, Live USB

Post#1 by Brasil » 30 Apr 2014, 00:14

Hi
How do I get Youtube to play smoothly with out error messages poping up and
cutting off the video in Porteus Mate?

Youtube seems to be cutting off early and giving me the "An error has occured..." message- you know the one.
Actually was I getting that on XP to before my transition to Porteus Mate.

I'm running Porteus Mate on Live USB on a X31 Lenovo Thinkpad, everything else is reasonably swift.
Thanks in advance.

regards

Use the chrome browser. I also have this problem using firefox (flash) but it doesn't occur in the chrome browser implementation of flash. This is probably graphic card related.
How do i become super user?
Wear your underpants on the outside and put on a cape.

It's the same under XP for me too; wasn't the case always though.

Firefox doesn't run Youtube properly on Porteus at all for everyone or just for some users?
I thought linux gave more control of what the computer does?
