Hi all! I am happy to use Porteus.

I have a problem on Gnumeric. I downloaded modules32-1.tar : 32bit (129M) which was written in the neko's thread http://forum.porteus.org/viewtopic.php? ... ric#p21663 and put gnumeric.xzm into /porteus/modules. It seemed it works fine, however, as I select one cell of sheet and choose Format 1-Cell, it freezes.

Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

When I run Gnumeric from Terminal, I get this message: Does this relate to the above mentioned problem? I am very new to Linux, so your kind support would be highly appreciated.

Another way to get a funtional gnumeric package is to proceed thru usm package manager. You should try that? The version of gnumeric I built this way seemed to be functional.

Are you familiar with usm?

1) Found in salix repository:
gnumeric-1.12.9-i486-1rl.txz
goffice-0.10.9-i486-1rl.txz
libspectre-0.2.7-i486-1.txz
Should I download all three packages for Gnumeric.xzm?

2) Options: Subfolder/Module/Merge modules
Should I deselect these options or select them?
I don't have any clear idea what these options are for?

3) USM help and/or tutorials
I googled and watched youtube about usm.
Is there a step by step tutorial document or site
to create a xzm module for porteus using USM?

usm is very intuitive. With a few try you will become an expert. Select:
gnumeric-1.12.9-i486-1rl.txz

Accept the other packages if they come after as they might contain necessary libraries for the good functioning of gnumeric (i.e. the following packages are required).

Select the options: Subfolder/Module/Merge modules.
