Wow!! wmWeather+ not the same as wmWeather. Talk about copyright infringement.

Thanks for the detailed steps bour59 but I don't think I'm ready to take on compiling Linux apps just yet. :(

wmWeather and wmWeather+ are governed by the GPL license (are open sources, free).
Anyone can change their code and make another version, distribute etc ...

I compiled wmWeather+ for x86_64

code yes, name not so much in many cases. Same with icons. I'm thinking of limitations Mozilla has on "open source" FireFox.

Mozilla firefox uses MPL (Mozilla Public License) Mozilla Public License and not follow the real freedom.
wmWeather uses GPL (General Public License) is the real freedom.
