Problem kernel linux-libre

Post#1 by Slaxmax » 01 Nov 2013, 20:27

Hi
I have compiled a kernel-libre 3.10.17 (only open source codes) but on a pc with amd gpu does not play video in smplayer.
Xvinfo is typed at the terminal shows that no adapter.
In smplayer I changed the video to x11 and the only way the video is shown, but no acceleration. I have another pc with nvidia gpu that works well. How could I fix this?

radeon GPUs from HD series (2000-8000) requires non free firmware which is not supported by the kernel libre.
