I'm having problems installing Porteus on my Pc, my error message is this ......
./Porteus-installer-for-linux.com (Permission denied)
Does this mean I have to be online to install Porteus?

if chmodding wont help then please launch the installer as root (on *buntu systems you can run 'sudo su' to switch to the root user ) this way:
Code: Select all
sh Porteus-installer-for-linux.com
if that still wont work then please mount your stick manually:
Code: Select all
mkdir /tmp/work
mount /dev/sdXY /tmp/work
and then run 'sh Porteus-installer-for-linux.com'

It's inside a folder called 'boot' in the root of whatever device you have put Porteus.

Well, Tried older version of Porteus (Slackware 13.37) and it's installed, whether it was my iso's I downloaded I don't know.
Having fun looking around Porteus right now.
Oh, by the way I had to change Id's because forgot passwd on both forum account and email account.
