Future plans about desktop environments

Hi, I have created custom porteus builds using LXDE on v1.1 and v1.2 for x86 and x64 platforms. I have some friends who are using these builds. With v2.0, I see that LXDE is not supported for x86.

I will update my builds for x86 and x64 but I am not sure which desktop environment to work with. I don't want to re-create all customizations for a new desktop environment in future, so It seems I will be going with XFCE but I am not sure if XFCE will be supported on new versions. Is there any road map for desktop environments?

For the next version we are thinking about creating an online wizard that allows users to choose which desktop environment they want to use. The ISO will then be packaged and made available for download.

So far the desktop environments will probably be:
KDE4
lxde
xfce
razorqt
and perhaps a gnome desktop depending on dependencies.

PS: I made an lxde module available for x86 which you can find here
