Direction (Solved)

I don't know where to post this but since I am new....

I like Porteus. I like that is works on my hardware. I like that it is extremely small. I like that it is modular. My question revolves around the modularity, in particular how is it maintained.

For example, FireFox. Mozilla releases new versions of it regularly. Will Porteus release new versions of Porteus when new versions of Firefox come out? Will Porteus release new Firefox modules for Porteus uses to download and install? How will users know to do that? Will the Porteus OS inform it's users when new modules are available or updated?

As I said I like Porteus. I just don't know where it's headed. (Or how to use many of it's functions yet. )

no.
we release approx every 6 months our point updates (2.x) and major ones (x.0) every new slackware release.
Will Porteus release new Firefox modules for Porteus uses to download and install? How will users know to do that?
launch PSC - click on 'Updates' button
Will the Porteus OS inform it's users when new modules are available or updated?
so far notifications are displayed for new modules in the repo (this function must be enabled through PPM -> Preferences) but could be adopted to the fixes/updates as well.
will do that probably in porteus-2.1

Good idea.
