Re: Porteus 1.2 LXDE
Hi,
AlsaMixer cannot restore altered settings and does not display a 'balance' control. There must be some way of preserving new settings or isn't there??

Re: AlsaMixer BUG
To save your sound settings through alsa, try running 'alsactl store' after you adjust the settings through alsamixer. I primarily use a laptop with built-in speakers, so never need a balance adjustment. That said, I'm able to adjust the right/left balance using my q and e keys to adjust left and right up independently, and z and c keys to adjust them down independently.
you could also try something along these lines using amixer:

My "Master" channel doesn't allow balance tuning, so I have to use those settings on "Speaker" to get it to work.

Please take a look at our online documentation, here. Suggestions are welcome!
