Bluetooth keyboard not working

Post#1 by cuttyshark » 29 Mar 2024, 19:21

Still trying to get everything to work with porteus 5.0.1.
Bluetooth works fine for my bluetooth speakers and my cellphone.
As keyboard I have a usb keyboard that worksk just fine.
I have also a logitech k480 bluetooth keyboard which I want to use when I am travelling.
I was able to connect and pair the keyboard, but when I type on it just nothing happens.
Image
seems you have to click on'zoom' to see the image well

Bluetooth keyboard not working

@cuttyshark,
Add cliexec=modprobe~uhid to the APPEND line in boot/syslinux/porteus.cfg

Code: Select all

APPEND changes=/porteus cliexec=modprobe~uhid
Sorry, my English is bad.

Bluetooth keyboard not working

Hi cuttyshark,
I hope you are added add the cheatcode: bluetooth to the boot line.. ie. <install_media>/boot/syslinux/porteus.cfg line that starts: APPEND (or hit TAB at boot screen and type: bluetooth )

Not bad to see output of these commands with connected Logitech K480:

Code: Select all

Bluetooth keyboard not working

cuttyshark, thanks for the sharing log.

1. I do not see Logitech K480 keyboard in your log or keyboard is recognize not correctly

Code: Select all

hid-generic 0003:04B3:3025.0001: input,hidraw0: USB HID v1.10 Keyboard [CHICONY USB NetVista Full Width Keyboard] on usb-0000:00:14.0-2/input0
She looks like Lenovo KU-0225 - https://github.com/tekezo/Karabiner/issues/639

2. Anyway

Code: Select all

Kernel command line: quiet BOOT_IMAGE=/boot/syslinux/vmlinuz changes=/porteus cliexec=modprobe~uhid initrd=/boot/syslinux/initrd.xz
why you didn't added the bluetooth cheatcode to /boot/syslinux/porteus.cfg (look at my previous post above)?

3. Not bad if you update kernel to 6.8.2 viewtopic.php?p=99190#p99190

Code: Select all

# You are to do this as root user!

# replace 000-kernel.xzm with 000-kernel-6.8.2-64bit.xzm
# remove crippled_sources.xzm
# Optionally add 06-crippled_sources-NNN-XXbit.xzm
/path-to/porteus/base

# replace vmlinuz
/path-to/boot/syslinux

# reboot Porteus
Linux 6.6.11-porteus #1 SMP PREEMPT_DYNAMIC Sun Jan 14 12:07:37 MSK 2024 x86_64 Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E3-1270 v6 @ 3.80GHz GenuineIntel GNU/Linux

Bluetooth keyboard not working

Post#9 by cuttyshark » 31 Mar 2024, 21:10

@beny , yeah maybe you are right, but I want to try , not that the logitech receiver is so expensive, but still not like the idea just to buy for that another one.
I used the keyboard before on a iptv box without a logitech receiver, so it must be posible to work with other reciever also.
