Problem starting FreeOffice after installation....

Post#1 by giftedsoul » 28 Mar 2024, 02:27

Dear guys,
after many attempts, finally got FreeOffice (softmaker-freeoffice-2021-1062-amd64) installed with help of command line (./installfreeoffice), all done as per instructions, but now i can't see its programs in my menu items, and want to know how it will run as there are no icons showing in menu/office menu. even i can see other WPS & LibreOffice in menu but NO FreeOffice there.
kindly help me out... thanks

donald

Download the deb file > right click on it > convert to xzm module > activate the module
[ which DE do you use -- YMMV ]

Here you see cinnamon and free-office:

Donald, i tried your suggestion, but it say that some internal error (-105) occurred.... though i got it in my menu items like you showed, but couldn't run due to this internal error.

Boot in 'Always Fresh' mode > activate the Module -- does it work now?

Which Desktop do you use? (cinnamon, xfce, or...)
